BOOEE pauses you before you reach a site you've chosen to block, offers a moment of reflection, and gives you the option to reach an accountability partner or lock your own browsing for a set time. These terms cover your use of the extension and the account behind it.
You must be at least 18 years old to use BOOEE. By using it, you're confirming that's true. We don't knowingly allow anyone under 18 to use the service, and we'll close any account we learn belongs to a minor.
You're responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for anything that happens under your account. If you believe someone else has access to it, let us know.
Adding someone as an accountability partner is your decision, and you're responsible for making sure they've actually agreed to that role, and for what you say to them.
When you contact a partner by text, that message goes out from your own device through your own messaging app — BOOEE has no part in sending it and isn't responsible for its content or whether it arrives. When you contact a partner by email, BOOEE sends that message on your behalf through our email provider. Removing a partner doesn't notify them automatically; that's on you if it matters.
BOOEE is a self-directed accountability tool, not a substitute for professional help. It isn't therapy, counseling, medical treatment, or a crisis service, and nothing in the app is clinical or medical advice. If you're in crisis or thinking about harming yourself, please contact a crisis line or emergency services in your area — don't rely on this app for that.
BOOEE also can't guarantee it will stop, cure, or fully prevent any particular behavior. Its blocking only covers domains on your own list, doesn't run in Incognito windows unless you specifically enable that, and depends on you keeping the list current. It's a tool meant to interrupt a moment, not a foolproof barrier.
Anything you add — your blocked-sites list, your accountability partners, your settings, your bug reports — stays yours. How we handle it is covered in the Privacy Policy. You can delete your account and everything tied to it at any time, permanently.
BOOEE is built and run by a small, independent developer. We do our best to keep it available, but we don't promise it will always be up, error-free, or uninterrupted, and features may change or be discontinued over time.
You can stop using BOOEE and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for anyone who violates these terms or misuses the service.
BOOEE is provided "as is," without warranties of any kind, express or implied. To the fullest extent the law allows, BOOEE and its developer aren't liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of it — including a relapse, a missed block, or how a partner reacted to a message sent through it. Nothing here limits liability in ways the law doesn't allow.
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to its conflict-of-law principles.
If these terms change, we'll update the effective date at the top of this page. Continuing to use BOOEE after a change means you accept the updated terms.
